Stereotyping questions

1. What do stereotypes tell us about group being stereotyped?
Stereotypes are generalizations or assumption about groups being stereotyped that are usually opinions and images. People judge others using stereotypes just because of their similar appearances, beliefs, feelings, groups, and behaviours without knowing them. Some stereotypes could be correct about most people with the same interest, but these statements do not apply to all.
2. Provide examples of how bias and stereotypes affect your behaviour towards others?

Ex. I tend to think popular girls who enjoys shopping all day are not smart because they waste their time on materialistic objects.
Ex. I also think that most chinese and koreans are good at math because of the intense mathematical training they received from their country before they moved to out school.

Ex. I think obese people are lazy and never do sports just because of their size.
Ex. Tall people are good at basketball
Ex. Whate people are good at English
Ex. Guys like to have short hair
3. Provide examples how you have been subject to bias and stereotypes.

Ex. People assumed that I am very good at math because I am an Asian.
Ex. People assumed that I am not good at sports.
Ex. People assumed that I am musical because I am Asian.
